Legoland Heart Healthy?

Last week we took a family vacation to Legoland in Carlsbad, California.  Whenever we travel or head out to amusement parks, I always pack tons of heart healthy snacks to compliment all the junk.  It's always the same, chicken nuggets, hamburgers, french fries, hot dogs or pizza.  Legoland was different.  I couldn't believe it when I walked into a restaurant and found them preparing whole grain pasta and serving organic milk and juice!

I felt like the day went a little smoother because my kids ate healthy, and mommy was able to resist temptation of snacking on all the fatty leftovers.  My girls feasted on whole grain penne pasta, honest kids organic juice and Mary's organic chicken.  Of course they couldn't resist an ice cream cone too.  Oh, and we saw it too late but they also have granny apple french fries with whip cream on top.  So don't worry there's plenty of junk food too if you're in the mood.  It's just nice to know that you have heart healthy options!

Check out the Legoland website and they even list if a restaurant is gluten or nut free.
