This afternoon a package arrived from CORE Foods. I always love reviewing products, especially when they're heart healthy and taste good. I had been running around all morning. There was literally no time for lunch before my afternoon pilates session, so I grabbed a raw walnut banana warrior meal on the go. It almost tasted like walnut banana bread, without the guilt. My on the go lunch was delicious, satisfying and tied me over until I picked up my daughter from camp and we went out for an afternoon snack.
Each bar is equivalent to one full bowl of raw oatmeal, so it's a meal at 350 calories. Keep that in mind before you scarf down one on the way to a lunch meeting. Whenever I eat other bars, they leave me feeling like I want more... That wasn't the case with my warrior meal. It gave me the energy I needed for my workout, without weighing me down. No side aches, growling or uncomfortable stomach! Since they're perishable, the company recommends storing these in your refrigerator or freezer. Oh, and if you need a snack, just cut it in half.
