Do you remember studying about chlorophyll in high school? Well, I was shocked the other day when I heard the most amazing story about a yoga teacher smelling like flowers after an intense session. Apparently, she attributed her sweet rather than stinky stench to drinking chlorophyll water. After a long day of running around, at the end of the day I wish I smelled like flowers! So last week I bought a concentrated bottle of chlorophyll from Whole Foods. According to the office of dietary supplements, the photochemical that gives plants their green pigmentation, is rich in minerals such as calcium, vitamin D and magnesium. Another side effect, according to many other natural health food sites, such as the Natural News, chlorophyll stops not only bad breath but also nasty body odor.
After a few days of drinking green water, I was hanging out with my friend, designer and fellow blogger Charlotte Pruitt of ResortMix and FrenchFifty. We were sitting in her back yard and there must have been four bees circling around me. She asked if I was wearing purfume, nope... Then it dawned on me. Was I smelling like flowers?
Let's just say that I haven't put on my Lady Mitchinum since last week and I don't need it. Let's face it, nasty body odor is a serious heartbreaker!
